I recently voted and commented on Ad Age's Weekly Poll (advertising industry publication that I get emailed updates from) question of:
"Do you think MySpace and Facebook users' profiles are an honest reflection of who they are?"
"I would venture and say yes and no. Of course there is always the constant double edged sword of the web that can just as easily cut both ways; either be leveraged awesomely for great benefit, but it can also be just as easily fashioned into an elaborate fascade to represent oneself in a manner that doesn't line up with one's true and comprehensive person-hood. But,I, for one, am willing to still 'go it' on the gamble that I will inevitably come across quality contacts right along side less than desirous folks during my web adventures, and isn't that life anyway?! -Brandon NJ" I, likewise, welcome your questions, comments, and general feedback! Thanks.

P.S. For those of you who are more interested-here is the rest of the article:
BACKGROUND: In Mark Zuckerberg's high-minded conception, one's
collection of Facebook friends should reflect one's real-life social network by
providing accurate data about users and by being a close-to-comprehensive map of all the important nodes in one's life. Yet there is evidence that people -- especially younger folks -- like to lie or at least fudge the truth on their social networks. But even more vexing is the question of whether Facebook can hit -- and maintain -- critical mass among adults. And for many adults, their online networks aren't representative of their real-life networks.

And your random tidbit for the day is: Bandon, OR, USA is a real place(look at a map-this is too real to make up!) In case you're feeling lazy, here is a link to one: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Bandon,+OR,+United+States+of+America&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title
